Continuing on, Jesus is our comforter, our mediator. He is our friend, closer than any brother. He’s there to dry our tears to build us back up to help us when we fall. And that is what God did for Samson, he fell, he dropped his cross but when he cried out and ask for God’s forgiveness, telling him I need you, He came down and picked up his cross helping him. Remember God will never leave you nor for sake you, He will give you wings of Eagle’s to fly above the storm of your troubles because He loves you. Samson was judge over Israel for 20 years yet he had no friends and no advisors. He did everything alone. When you are a leader of any division, organization, business, or church you need advisors, you need counsel. This was everything Samson lacked. In Proverbs 11:14 it reads where no console is, the people fall: but in the multitude of counselors there is safety. With any leadership role men or women need assistance because you can’t do everything alone. You need to see things at every angle and every perspective. You need to be open-minded and not close minded because that can be your downfall. You have to be willing to listen to others to get all options and opinions. Jesus had 12 apostles and Moses had 70 elders yet Samson had no one. There is no record that Samson had any friends or any close confidants. As you read in the Bible Samson didn’t have a faithful wife or family which is not good when you are leader. Everyone needs someone they can confide in, a close friend or family they can trust. Samson was a man that like to take chances, he was always in the land of his enemies by himself. And as trouble surrounded him, he was spiteful. And when he was wronged he fought back with a vengeance towards his enemies. For instance, Samson’s best man who turned out to be a traitor married his wife. As you can see Samson didn’t trust anyone. Even so, if Samson had someone he could trust his life might’ve been different. Having no one to trust is a lonely road. It is good to look and find someone you can really trust because you need to surround yourself with good advisors. In Proverbs 11:14 it reads in the multitude of counselors there is safety. The Bible states there is wisdom in several counselors, that means you need more than one. And when you are in agreement with your counselors then the Lord comes, as it reads in Matthews 18:20 For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them." When you’re in agreement with your counselors, friends or family, the Lord will come also helping you when you need guidance. Thanks for stopping by and liking my posts you guys are awesome! Continuing on with a hero’s tragedy, the Bible says Samson was a man of faith no doubt because he believed in God to give him the strength to defeat his enemies. Yet he was a controversial leader. He had many chances to judge Israel but never got around to do it. Samson always went his own way doing what he thought was right. Many blamed Delilah for Samson’s ruin and disgrace. She did have her part to play, but ultimately the rise and fall of Samson was of his own doing because he chose his path, albeit it was wrong, but he still chose his own way because God has given us all free will. There was no doubt Samson abuse the power God gave him by using it to get back at his enemies who angered him but even so, God still used him. Samson also shows us like with Adam he had a free will, choosing his own path, his own direction. Samson had a covenant with God but he sinned and kept going until the covenant was broken. This was his ultimate downfall but even still, God continued to love him and picked him back up when he asked for his help. You remember when Jesus was carrying the cross getting ready to die for our sins? He needed help carrying the cross so the Roman soldiers seized Simon of Cyrene on his way in from the country, and put the cross on him to carry behind Jesus. This particular passage can be found in Luke 23: 26. I was wanting to shine light on this because this particular passage tells us what Jesus does for us. No doubt Jesus fell and couldn’t hold his cross any longer so the Roman soldiers forced Simon to hold the cross for Jesus. Jesus is telling us that he will do the same for each and every one of us. He will bear our cross. Sometimes it is too much for us to handle. We walk down a lonely road holding our cross, sweating, crying and in pain. We can’t go any further, we drop our cross to the ground and fall to our knees tired and wore out, but then Jesus comes carrying our cross. Carrying us, telling us we will make it. Remember He said my burdens are light and my yoke is easy. He will carry both us and our cross because He’s just that the big and strong and mighty and awesome. I know things are crazy right now with everything that's been happening lately, but don't give up guys there's always hope no matter what, just trust God and He won't lead you wrong. Just pray and believe in God. Remember God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. So don't worry, everything is going to work out. As it reads in
In Matthews 6:25 Do Not Worry 25“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? 26Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? 27Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your lifee ? 28“And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. 29Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these.30If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith? 31So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. 34Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. . |
