Hey guys, sorry I forgot to post a topic yesterday here is the delayed post: Changes in peer relationships assist children and adolescences with growing and overcoming the struggles of founding out who they are. As adolescents experience peer pressure, this assist them if they have the right friends, but if they have the wrong friends, it can hurt them. Peer relationships create a bond with people as they try to discover their position with a certain social group (Berger, 2011). Peer relationships offer a good atmosphere for social and ethical development and helped with peer communication (Blume, 2010). Peer communication establishes a friendship and support system that is essential for social growth. Peers start to be the focal point in relationships with young adults. Middle childhood has a vital change in the viewpoints of friendships. Relationships are also created in this course as they grow older. Typically, when a child is five they have friends and create a friendship list. Through middle childhood, growing relationships of peers relies on a growing development of companionship (Berger, 2011). While children keep on communicating with their friends, the approval of having friends is an essential element of the early phases of teenage years ( Blume, 2010). Changes with peer relationships throughout teenage years are different than middle childhood, because they are centered on unity over expediency ( Blume, 2010). Relationships are also centered on emotional links (Berger, 2011). Individuals part of peer groups ware about the same clothes and like the same things. Young adults usually feel duplicity when their friends refuse them (Berger, 2011). When friend’s relationships grow, young adults focus more on how others are regarded by their friends which labels their social position (Blume, 2010). Peer Relations in Middle Childhood Hey guys I'll have a new topic Lord's willing tomorrow thanks for stopping by and liking my posts you guys are awesome!
Now continuing on in verse 3, And the angel of the Lord appeared to the woman and said to her, “Behold, you are barren and have not borne children, but you shall conceive and bear a son. 4 Therefore be careful and drink no wine or strong drink, and eat nothing unclean, 5 for behold, you shall conceive and bear a son. No razor shall come upon his head, for the child shall be a Nazirite to God from the womb, and he shall begin to save Israel from the hand of the Philistines.” Now sticking a pen there, any man or woman could take a vow to become a Nazirite, to separate himself or herself to God. It was to be voluntary for a limited time and involve three positions, abstinence from wine, strong drink, or anything associated with the vine. No cutting of the hair and no contact with the dead. If a person became unclean, there were elaborate cleansing rituals. Three things are unusual concerning Samson and this vow. First, he did not take it voluntarily; it was his lot from the womb. Second, it was not limited in time; it was to last to the day of his death. Now continuing on in the sixth verse of Judges the 13th chapter 6 Then the woman came and told her husband, “A man of God came to me, and his appearance was like the appearance of the angel of God, very awesome. I did not ask him where he was from, and he did not tell me his name, 7 but he said to me, ‘Behold, you shall conceive and bear a son. So then drink no wine or strong drink, and eat nothing unclean, for the child shall be a Nazirite to God from the womb to the day of his death.’” Now when Hazelelponi (Samson’s mother and Manoah’s wife) comes home and tells her husband a man of God came to me she probably thought she was talking to a prophet but as you read on she soon realizes the man of God she spoke to was someone greater. All right continuing on, 8 Then Manoah prayed to the Lord and said, “O Lord, please let the man of God whom you sent come again to us and teach us what we are to do with the child who will be born.” 9 And God listened to the voice of Manoah, and the angel of God came again to the woman as she sat in the field. Hello everyone, here's part 2 to a hero's tragedy. In Hebrew his name is pronounced Shimshon. I like that. Samson’s name has three meanings, the first meaning of his name means sun not S-O-N but S-U-N like the sun in the sky. And I wondered why would his name mean sun? So I looked up the meaning of sun, it means the star that is the source of light. And Samson was a star to his people because he delivered them out of the hands of the Philistines with God’s help and for time he was a source of light to Israel before he died. The second meaning to his name means his service, again he lived up to this name meaning because he was a service to his people he helped them and delivered them from the Philistines with God’s help. And the last meaning to his name is there the second time, again he lives up to this name because when the Philistines captured him and blinded him they called Samson out to entertain them and they made him stand between the pillars and that’s when he asked God to grant him strength one last time and he took down the roof killing 3000 men and women. Samson was the 12th and final judge of Israel leaving his mark in history, he went out with a bang though his ending was tragic it was rememberable. He lived somewhere in the beginning of the 11th century B.C. so the year would probably be 1100 B.C. It was 50 years before Saul became king of Israel. Samson strength was without equal, no one could match his strength because his strength came from God. He took on the Philistine army without anyone’s help except God’s. Now let’s start at the beginning of Samson’s birth. In the book of Judges the 13th chapter it reads: And the people of Israel again did what was evil in the sight of the Lord, so the Lord gave them into the hand of the Philistines for forty years.
